Definitions

In these Terms, the following terms carry the following meanings:

• "Service" — any vehicle hire arrangement provided by quartisanes, including but not limited to Quiet Afternoon Hire, Resident's Weekly Rotation, and Retirement Dinner Motorcade.
• "Hire Agreement" — the booking confirmation and associated documentation issued by quartisanes upon confirmation of an arrangement.
• "Vehicle" — any motor vehicle supplied by quartisanes in connection with a Service.
• "Client" / "You" — the individual or organisation entering into a hire arrangement with quartisanes.
• "Hire Period" — the duration of the vehicle hire as specified in the Hire Agreement.

Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry, confirming a booking, or accepting a Hire Agreement, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• The information you have provided to quartisanes is accurate and complete.
• You have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.

These Terms apply to all Services offered by quartisanes, whether arranged by phone, email, web form, or in person.

Services Offered

quartisanes provides vehicle hire services in Singapore. Our current service arrangements include:

• Quiet Afternoon Hire — self-drive hire of a sedan or compact SUV for up to 6 hours, with vehicle delivery to a specified address.
• Resident's Weekly Rotation — a recurring weekly vehicle hire for Singapore residents, with a different vehicle delivered each cycle on a month-to-month basis.
• Retirement Dinner Motorcade — a chauffeured vehicle arrangement for milestone celebrations, covering guest transport, lead vehicle preparation, and return transfers.

Service descriptions are provided for guidance. quartisanes reserves the right to modify the composition of any arrangement in response to operational requirements, subject to reasonable prior notice where feasible.

Services are available in Singapore only. Geographic restrictions apply to vehicle delivery and collection.

Booking and Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability. An arrangement is confirmed only upon quartisanes's written acceptance (by email or message) and receipt of any applicable deposit or full payment as specified.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses, contact details, and any relevant scheduling information. Errors in booking details that result in failed delivery or scheduling conflicts are the client's responsibility.

quartisanes will confirm arrangements at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled hire date where possible. For short-notice arrangements, confirmation timelines may vary and will be communicated directly.

Driving Licence Requirements

For self-drive services (Quiet Afternoon Hire and Resident's Weekly Rotation), clients must hold a valid driving licence that permits them to drive the class of vehicle provided in Singapore. Accepted licences include:

• A valid Singapore driving licence (Class 3, 3A, or applicable equivalent).
• A valid foreign driving licence accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP), where the client has resided in Singapore for fewer than 12 months.

Clients must present their driving licence for verification before taking possession of a vehicle. quartisanes reserves the right to refuse hire if licence documents cannot be verified or are found to be invalid.

Clients with more than six demerit points accumulated in the preceding 12 months should disclose this at the time of booking. quartisanes may, at its discretion, decline to provide a self-drive service in such cases.

Client Responsibilities

When using quartisanes's services, you agree to:

• Operate any vehicle in accordance with Singapore's Road Traffic Act and all applicable traffic regulations.
• Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs driving ability.
• Not permit any person other than the named hirer to operate a self-drive vehicle, unless prior written approval has been given by quartisanes.
• Return the vehicle at the agreed time and location in the same condition as received, subject to normal use.
• Report any accident, damage, or mechanical fault to quartisanes promptly, and not leave the scene of an accident without completing required procedures under Singapore law.
• Not use the vehicle for any commercial purpose, sub-hire, transport of hazardous materials, or any activity that contravenes Singapore law.
• Not smoke in or modify the vehicle in any way.

Insurance and Liability

Insurance is included with all quartisanes hire arrangements as described in the Hire Agreement. Coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of quartisanes's insurer and applies only where the vehicle is operated in accordance with these Terms.

Insurance coverage may be voided in circumstances including:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Unauthorised use of the vehicle by a person other than the named hirer.
• Use of the vehicle for prohibited purposes as described in Section 6.
• Deliberate damage or gross negligence.

Where insurance is voided due to client conduct, the client will be fully liable for any resulting costs including vehicle damage, third-party claims, and legal fees.

Damage and Excess

Upon return of any self-drive vehicle, quartisanes will conduct a condition check. Any damage beyond normal wear will be documented and the client notified.

Where damage occurs during a hire period, the client is responsible for an excess amount as specified in the Hire Agreement. The excess amount varies by vehicle and arrangement type and will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

Damage caused by flooding, driving on unpaved roads, or other uses inconsistent with the vehicle's intended purpose may not be covered by insurance, and full repair costs may be charged to the client.

Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Pricing for each service is as follows:

• Quiet Afternoon Hire: SGD 310 per arrangement (up to 6 hours)
• Resident's Weekly Rotation: SGD 1,500 per 7-day cycle
• Retirement Dinner Motorcade: SGD 1,200 per arrangement (1–4 vehicles, 4–6 hours)

Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at the time of booking. quartisanes may require a deposit to secure an arrangement. Outstanding balances are due prior to the commencement of the hire, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Prices are subject to change. Any price applicable to a confirmed booking will not be altered after confirmation, unless the arrangement itself is materially changed at the client's request.

Cancellation and Modifications

Client-initiated cancellation

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled hire date: full refund of any deposit paid.
• Cancellations made 24–72 hours before the scheduled hire date: 50% of the total hire fee will be retained.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled hire date, or no-shows: the full hire fee is due.

Client-initiated modifications

Requests to modify the date, time, vehicle type, or scope of an arrangement are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours in advance. quartisanes will accommodate modifications where operationally feasible.

quartisanes-initiated changes

In the event that quartisanes is unable to fulfil a confirmed arrangement due to circumstances beyond our control (including vehicle mechanical failure, driver illness, or force majeure), we will notify you as early as possible and endeavour to offer an equivalent alternative or a full refund.

Resident's Weekly Rotation

This arrangement runs on a week-by-week basis. Either party may terminate the rotation by providing at least 7 days' written notice before the commencement of the next weekly cycle. No minimum commitment beyond the current week applies.

Intellectual Property

All content on the quartisanes website, including text, images, and design elements, is the intellectual property of quartisanes Pte. Ltd. You may not reproduce, republish, or use this content for any commercial purpose without prior written consent.

Your use of our website and services does not grant you any licence to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to engage with our services as a client.

Disclaimers

quartisanes provides vehicle hire services in good faith and takes care to maintain vehicles to a high standard. However, we do not warrant that:

• Any particular vehicle model or specification will be available for a given hire period.
• Traffic conditions, road closures, or other external factors will not affect the timely delivery or collection of vehicles.
• Our website will be available at all times without interruption or error.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by Singapore law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Singapore law, quartisanes's total liability to any client arising out of or in connection with a hire arrangement shall not exceed the total hire fee paid for the relevant arrangement.

quartisanes is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or reputational damage arising from a hire arrangement or any failure to provide a service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify quartisanes against any claims, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from:

• Your operation of a vehicle in breach of these Terms or Singapore law.
• Any accident, damage, or injury caused by your use of a vehicle during a hire period.
• Inaccurate information provided at the time of booking.

Termination

quartisanes reserves the right to terminate a hire arrangement immediately and require the return of any vehicle if:

• The client is found to be operating a vehicle in breach of these Terms or Singapore law.
• The client has provided materially false or misleading information.
• There is reasonable cause to believe the vehicle is at risk of damage or misuse.

In such cases, no refund of fees paid will be given for the unused portion of the hire period.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with a hire arrangement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion. Clients may contact us at [email protected] to raise any concern.

General Provisions

• Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Hire Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between quartisanes and the client in respect of the relevant Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
• Waiver. Failure by quartisanes to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it on a future occasion.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without quartisanes's prior written consent. quartisanes may assign its obligations to a suitable third party without notice where this does not materially affect the client's service.
• Notices. Notices from quartisanes to clients will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. Notices to quartisanes should be sent to [email protected].

Changes to These Terms

quartisanes may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services, legal requirements, or operational practices. The updated Terms will be published on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Arrangements confirmed before any update will be governed by the Terms in force at the time of confirmation.
